Summary: House is comfortable and located in an uphill small village. Close to Ribeauvillé and Colmar. Various day trips possible up to one hour drive (summer sledging, Alsace Adventure Park, Chateau Haut Köningsbourg) but also various walking trials nearby.

Summary: The house is new and offers all required functionality. We were 7 adults above 60 who are used to travel together. The communication with the house owners was excellent. The environment is amazing for those seeking a quite village in Alzas area. 10 minutes from Ribeauville center, up a hill. Easy parking area. We recommend as we enjoyed it a lot.

Summary: The village of Aubure is *very* small so be prepared for a 25 min. drive to Ribeauville if you want to do some grocery shopping. We loved the location, but some people may find it to be too quiet for them.

Summary: Les Melezes is a wonderful new detached property, over 3 levels, in the sleepy village of Aubure, whose claim to fame is being the highest in the Alsace region at 800m above sea level. The property has ample space around it and is positioned only a few minutes walk from the village centre. There are lovely views of both the meadow in front of the house and the hills toward Sainte Marie Les Mines. The property is immaculate throughout and catered for all our needs. An added bonus was the sauna on the ground floor. Aubure has a small shop which will cater for most of your immediate needs (be very early if you want bread) but if you want a broader choice then Freland, Sainte Marie Les Mines and Ribeauville are where you need to go. We found Aubure to be ideally positioned to access all the main sites we wanted to visit during our stay. To the north was Strasbourg in under 1 hr (park in the multi storey as it is so much easier and cheaper), to the south was Colmar in roughly 30 minutes (Petite Venice is lovely as is the vast majority of the town). There are also a number of Les Plus Beaux Villages in the region which we love to visit. We frequently stopped off in Ribeauville on the way back to Les Melezes. There are a great number of lovely Patisseries and restaurants in the town. You will also find a great public swimming pool and if you wish to indulge there is also a spa on the outskirts of town. When we were there the storks had just returned from their migration and we loved watching them atop the townhouses. A truly wonderful holiday, thank you Nathalie.
